We loved everything about Deda... the aroma of the seasonings that intrigues you the minute you walk in , the music that creates the cozy atmosphere, smiles of the stuff, and yes of course the quality and deliciousness of food. Walnuts, spices, adjika, freshness of the bread, quality of meats.. you literally drool over each dish that comes to your table. And the owner who walk around and greets people personally is a great touch. We ate, we drank , we enjoyed. We will be back. Beautiful restaurant. Outstanding service. Delicious food. Highly recommended. And Alona - our server is the sweetest, most attentive person. You will be lucky to seat at her section, she will tell you everything about each dish and you will be well taken care of.

I’ve been here four times already and have tried many dishes. Overall, I’m giving this place 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ From everything I’ve had, the only things I didn’t enjoy were the chicken soup and the Napoleon cake. The soup had a very unusual flavor and was way too salty for my taste, and the Napoleon felt too dry. We also tried the panna cotta, and it wasn’t as light and airy as we expected - desserts definitely need a bit more attention and improvement. However - the kharcho was absolutely amazing and the khinkali were delicious! One small suggestion: it would be great if you could offer wet wipes for guests after eating khinkali. I also want to highlight the staff - they are incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely seem to love what they do. They constantly check in, keep the tables clean, and make sure you’re comfortable. A really pleasant team and great service!

You Knead to Eat Here! A Georgian Food Love Story in Pasadena! If you haven’t been to Deda Restaurant, stop what you’re doing and go immediately (okay, maybe finish reading this first). This cozy little spot is serving up authentic Georgian cuisine that’ll make you question every other comfort food in your life. It was our first Georgian meal ever, and now we’re emotionally attached to khachapuri. Everything was ridiculously good, like, “how is this not illegal” good. The vibe? Warm, welcoming, and just the right amount of buzz. There’s a sunny patio, a chill bar area, and even a private dining room if you want to impress your friends with your sophisticated world-food knowledge. Bonus points: two hours of free parking in the back (a rare and precious gift from the Pasadena gods). The staff was so friendly and genuinely excited to share the menu, you can tell they love what they do. In short: come hungry, leave obsessed. Deda is a 10/10 culinary plot twist you didn’t see coming.

DEDA in Pasadena is a true hidden gem! Authentic Georgian dishes and amazing dairy-free and vegan options. I was so impressed by how thoughtful they were with dietary needs , they offered wonderful dairy-free and vegan choices for my child with a dairy allergy and everything tasted incredible. The dessert Zgapari Blini Torte, was absolutely unforgettable. A place full of heart, flavor and true hospitality highly recommend! ????????

Beautiful restaurant. I loved the decor, and the atmosphere, the what I assume is Georgian music, beautiful setting. The good was delicious too, we ordered appetizers and mains and the people were such that we could not finish and had to take food home with us. The smoked salmon ajarski was great. They only offer it for brunch, but what a great idea! It tasted delicious. And the service was impeccable. The good did not come all at the same time. The server warned us in advance that plates would be coming as they come out from the kitchen, so don't from our party started eating while others were still waiting for their food. I feel this would have been awkward and a big negative had the easier not told us in advance. Overall, Deda is on the pricey side, but I still think well worth a visit.

A Must-Dine Spot for Authentic Georgian Flavors in Pasadena!!! Deda Restaurant is such a gem in Pasadena! It was our first time trying authentic Georgian food and it was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The location is easy to get to, with two hours of free parking in the back, which makes visiting stress-free. We were greeted by a friendly host, attentive floor manager, and servers who were knowledgeable and happy to share recommendations. The space is cozy yet spacious, with a patio, central bar, booths, and even a private dining room. Highlights for us were the Pkhali Mezze (colorful spreads of roasted bell peppers, beets, and spinach), the Eggplant Pkhali Rolls, and of course, the Adjaruli Khachapuri—their famous cheese-filled bread boat that’s an absolute must-try. Our super favorite was the Khinkali beef dumplings—juicy, flavorful, and perfect in every bite. The trout and chicken kebab were also fantastic. We finished with a light mango dessert that was the perfect sweet ending. If you’re looking for bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and warm hospitality, Deda is a must-dine spot in Pasadena. We’ll definitely be back!

Loved this place ! The menu is different online than what we saw in person so I can’t reference the names of the dishes but we ordered: 1) a stuffed eggplant appetizer . I believe it was stuffed w a walnut puree. It was so good but so small (and therefore felt exp for the size) lol 2) these triangle pastries stuffed w beans. Also very good (not listed on online menus) 3) mountain trout - my dish which was mediocre. Nothing special. I’d skip this if you are able to eat other meats 4) lamb - my husband loved this. The spinach had a very refreshing almost-minty taste (but not mint. The waiter said it was tarragon) There was a photographer who went around taking photos of ppl while they waited for their food. I thought there was a chance that it might’ve been free but that was wishful thinking. She gives you some hats and a wig to put on for the photo(s). After she takes your photos, she prints them and presents them in frames. They cost 20$ per frame. We felt pressured to buy them so just because aware ! Just say no to the photos to begin with if you don’t want to feel pressured to buy them later.
